File transfer (SFTP)

SFTP uses the same SSH connection - same IP, user, and password/key.

ClientOSH

  1. Connect with an SSH session (or create an SFTP-only session).
  2. Click the folder icon to open the file manager.
  3. Browse directories, upload and download files in the same window as the terminal.

Quick SSH + SFTP:

clientosh ssh root@203.0.113.10 --sftp --name vps

WinSCP (Windows)

  1. Download WinSCP.
  2. Protocol: SFTP, host: server IP, port: 22.
  3. Enter username and password (or a key).
  4. Connect and drag files between the panes.

FileZilla

  1. Install FileZilla.
  2. File → Site Manager → New site.
  3. Protocol: SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol.
  4. Host, port 22, normal login + password or key.
  5. Connect and transfer files.

Command line

sftp root@203.0.113.10

Useful SFTP session commands:

ls          # list remote files
cd /var/www # change directory
put file.txt
get file.txt
exit

One-shot upload (SCP):

scp ./site.zip root@203.0.113.10:/var/www/
