Remote desktop (RDP)

RDP is how you connect to a Windows server. You’ll find IP, username and password in the AlfaHost panel.

What you need

• Server IP address
• Username (e.g. Administrator)
• Password
• RDP port - default 3389

ClientOSH

ClientOSH includes an embedded RDP client (FreeRDP) in the same window as SSH/SFTP.

1. Download from Releases.
2. Create an RDP session.
3. Enter host, username and password.
4. Connect - the desktop renders inside the app pane.

clientosh rdp Administrator@203.0.113.10 --name windows

Windows - Remote Desktop Connection

1. Press Win + R, type mstsc, press Enter.
2. In Computer, enter the server IP.
3. Connect → enter username and password.
4. Accept the certificate on first connect.

macOS

1. Install Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store.
2. Add a PC → enter IP and credentials.
3. Connect.

Linux

Use Remmina, FreeRDP, or ClientOSH:

xfreerdp /u:Administrator /v:203.0.113.10

Common issues

Symptom	Check
Timeout	IP, VPS running, firewall / port 3389
Login denied	Password, username, keyboard layout
Black screen	Wait a moment or reboot the VPS in the panel
